Our Team

Jerry Lotterstein
CEO, Chairman & President

bio photoJerry Lotterstein is the creating force behind DTC. He is regarded as a marketing genius by those who know him well and have worked with him over the years,. Talent is one thing. Putting it to use can be quite another. Jerry, as with talented people in any field of expertise, is that rare individual that has used his talent to its maximum potential over the years.

Upon completing his studies at City College of New York, Jerry began a journey of almost unparalleled success in the world of business entrepreneurship. His many successes include the founding of Case Financial Corporation, a publicly held company. The crowning jewel in his career prior to DTC, was starting The Video Factory electronic stores in Buffalo, NY, employing over three hundred people. His success was ultimately recognized by a company we’ve all heard of, Blockbuster Video, who subsequently purchased The Video Factory in a multi million dollar deal.

Never one to rest on his laurels, Jerry enjoys the challenges that business brings to the table. Coupling this with the obvious growth in illegal drug usage he was inspired to start DTC. Recognizing a need and doing the research necessary to capitalize on that need, represents his greatest strength in the business arena. After years of research and exploration of the potential in drug testing, Jerry launched The Drug Test Consultant in Los Angeles, CA in 2002, with his son, Michael. The rest is a wonderful history of developing drug testing protocols and procedures for American businesses, families and communities. Without a doubt, the best part of this business for Jerry, has been the successful development of DTC Associates. These talented individuals have taken on the DTC business model as their own all over the country, and changed the their lives and the lives of their families in so doing. When asked what he believed was the most important attribute in becoming a successful DTC Associate, Jerry surprised noone who knows him when he replied: "Beyond, of course, a good work ethic, I think the most important personal quality a person can bring to our business is kindness and caring. If they have these qualities, then they will be in a business that makes them happy every day of their lives."

Michael Lotterstein
Executive Vice President

bio photoPrior to starting DTC with his dad, Jerry Lotterstein, Michael was formally educated in the Culinary Arts and Restaurant Management at the prestigious and internationally acclaimed California Culinary Academy in San Francisco, CA. Upon graduation from his culinary studies, Michael began a career as an executive chef, spanning the country from coast to coast. Today, thanks to television shows on the Food Channel Network, most of us know that being an executive chef goes far beyond merely just cooking. In addition to creating masterful recipes, Michael designed menus and managed staffs of 75 to 100 people in some of the finest eating establishments in the country, and served as a consultant to many other restaurants in the administration of their businesses.

Getting married and wanting to raise a family presented new challenges to Michael that he took most seriously. It’s hard to be a great dad and husband in the restaurant business, as the weekends and late evenings required in that industry don’t allow for much family time. Without having any background in drug testing, drug test consulting or drug testing products, Michael accepted the challenge from his dad to partner in a new venture. He is an inspiration to all of us at DTC as to just how far you can go if you decide to push forward and work hard at something. Today, it would be hard to find anybody more knowledgeable in our industry than Michael Lotterstein. He is an inspiration to all of us and a wonderful mentor to new DTC Associates.

Gwynne Wilson
DTC Corporate Training Director

bio photoGwynne is one of the first five consultants to join DTC. She earned a BS degree in Fashion Merchandising from Iowa State University and entered the retail industry as a Retail Buyer who managed a five million dollar department for her employer. She lives in Omaha, Nebraska and because she frequently travelled to New York City, she considers New York almost a second home. In a period of a few years, Gwynne became an enormously successful DTC Associate and was able to add a staff to her business. Christine Mays was hired to be her Executive Assistant and Director of her drug testing business. That move, which is one link in a chain of successes in Gwynne’s association with DTC, liberated valuable time for her. This has allowed Gwynne to not only have a fabulously successful drug testing business, but to also accept the assignment of becoming the DTC Corporate Training Director. Gwynne has performed in an outstanding manner in her training capacity as evidenced by the continuing compliments and successes enjoyed by those privileged to have come under her wing. Rarely in life does such a combination of energy, drive and knowledge present themselves as they have with Gwynne Wilson and to the benefit of so many others. She is a treasure that is truly appreciated by the DTC family.

Shelli Sutton
Business Development Director

bio photoShelli joined the Drug Test Consultant in 2004 and is Senior Business Development Director for DTC. Her background includes working as a corporate events planner in which she has represented a number of Fortune 500 Corporations including: IBM, Toyota Motor Corporation, Honda, British Motor Works, Harley Davidson, Readers Digest, The New York Times, Philip Morris and HBO/Time Warner. Her experience includes mentoring, coordinating and implementing programs for these clients and many others. Shelli’s background in working with top echelon executives contributes to her expertise in working with prospective DTC Associates while engaging them in the process of exploring the DTC business model. Both DTC and the prospective DTC Associates with whom she works are fortunate to have Shelli on their team.

Gerry Foreman
Business Development Director

bio photoPrior to becoming part of the DTC Team in 2007, Gerry was retired, but not enjoying it. Before retiring he was self employed from the time he was 23 years of age. His successful business ventures include: ownership of three staffing agencies in his home town of Chicago, IL, a real estate firm in Albuquerque New Mexico and a kitchen remodeling company in San Diego, CA and a business cost cutting consultant for businesses while residing in Huntington Beach, CA. He feels virtually "born again" in being so fortunate to find DTC at the later stages of his life. His understanding of what being an entrepreneur really means as well as his patience and expertise in explaining the DTC business model to potential new DTC Associates has made him a great player on
the DTC Team.

Judy Metoyer
Vice President, Administration

bio photoJudy has been with DTC since two years after its inception, and brings her energy and talents to the everyday tasks of helping our organization navigate through its daily business activities. Prior to joining DTC, Judy held positions in fund-raising for non-profit corporations supporting addiction facilities. She is most proud of her accomplishments achieved while working with the President of the Holocaust Museum in Los Angeles. In this capacity, Judy put together programs for children and survivors of The Holocaust. She brings her incredible positive energy with her to DTC everyday, helping the DTC ship sail smoothly.

Rita Marra
Executive Assistant to Michael Lotterstein

bio photoRita received her AA degree from Union College in New York State. She has subsequently enjoyed success in working for major US corporations including Ralston Purina in Los Angeles. One of Rita’s most important previous positions held was during her employ with Tishman West Corporation, a 100 year old firm. Her responsibilities included the title of Lease Administrator in which she held the responsibility for the oversight of 33 million square feet of leased commercial space. Rita brings her experience, talent and organizational skills to DTC, serving as the right hand of our Executive Vice President, Michael Lotterstein.

Christine Mays
Executive Assistant to Gwynne Wilson

bio photoChristine is an amazing find for our Corporate Training Director, Gwynne Wilson. At precisely the time Gwynne needed a key person to help her administer her drug testing business in Omaha, NE, and act in an important supporting role to the training dept. Christine became available. She earned her BA degree from the University of Nebraska in Omaha and completed her studies for a Masters Degree in Human Relations at the University of Oklahoma, perfect credentials for being the "right arm" for Gwynne. Prior to joining with Gwynne’s business, Christine spent 5 years in the US Navy, working in the human resources arena and had a private practice as a clinical therapist for another 5 years in Omaha. She has become a great asset and "go-to" person to work with new Associates as they grow their drug testing businesses.
